WEIGHT AND DENSITY
A heavier towel can feel more substantial, but weight alone does not determine how comfortable it is to use. The balance between density, softness and drying performance matters more than a single specification.
For everyday use, the fabric should feel full without becoming stiff or cumbersome when wet.

MATERIAL AND FINISH
Cotton quality, yarn structure and finishing all affect the way a towel feels. Two towels with a similar weight can perform very differently depending on how the fabric is constructed.
